Tea & Tales is a bookshop and tea house at Van Oldenbarneveltstraat 142A in Rotterdam. On the shelves you will find English and Dutch romantasy, fantasy, horror and classics, and special editions with sprayed edges. You will also find premium loose-leaf tea, book nooks, book bags, honey and syrup.
Come in, find a cosy spot and order a pot of tea or an iced tea. Carry on with your own book, or start right away on the one you just bought. Sometimes the loveliest story does not begin with a book, but with a cup of tea and a quiet moment.

What can you do in the shop?
Everything you see online is really on the shelf in the shop too. Find a spot, order a pot of tea or an iced tea and read at your leisure, in your own book or in the one you just bought.
An online order is usually ready for pick-up within two hours. You can also drop off a return in the shop, so you pay no shipping costs. The shop and the webshop share the same stock; a sale in the shop shows up here within half an hour. Curious about what is coming up? Take a look at our events page.
How do you get to Tea & Tales?
The shop is in the centre of Rotterdam, on the Van Oldenbarneveltstraat, a five to seven minute walk from Rotterdam Centraal.
By tram. The Lijnbaan stop is a minute's walk away, served by lines 1, 5 and 7. This can change during diversions, so check what is running that day. The Kruisplein stop is a three to four minute walk, on the Central Station side.
By metro. Beurs metro station is the closest. From Rotterdam Centraal it is a five to seven minute walk to the shop.
By car. You can park in the street itself and there are several charging points for electric cars. Prefer a car park? Interparking Lijnbaan is a two minute walk away and has a day rate of 17 euros, and Parkeergarage Schouwburgplein charges 22 euros a day. You book both in advance. These rates are set by the car parks themselves and may change.

Do you have a physical shop as well?
Yes. Besides our webshop we have a shop in Rotterdam, at Van Oldenbarneveltstraat 142A, 3012 GX. You are very welcome to come and see our books, tea, gifts and accessories for real.
Do you sell special editions with sprayed edges?
Yes, that is what we focus on most. Books with sprayed edges, foiling on the cover, a reversible dust jacket or printed endpapers. They are all in the shop and online in the special editions collection.
Is your stock count accurate?
Yes. What you see here comes straight from our stock system and is updated continuously. We never keep numbers artificially low to make you hurry. We do not do sales tricks.
Our shop and the webshop share the same stock. There can be 1 to 30 minutes between a sale in the shop and it showing up here.
How long will my order take?
As soon as your order comes in, we pack it with care. You will usually have your new book, tea or accessory at home within 1 to 3 working days.
Which kinds of tea do you sell?
Black tea, green tea, white tea, rooibos, honeybush, herbal infusions, fruity blends and our own storytelling blends. Some are soft and floral, others spicy, creamy, fruity or full in taste.
Can I return my order in the shop?
Yes, returning in the shop is possible. Please report your return first through the return form or through WhatsApp Business, so we can process it properly.
What if I entered the wrong address?
Contact us straight away. If the order has not been sent yet, we can usually still change something. If the parcel is already on its way, we depend on the carrier.
