What is Alchemised about?

'The war is over. Holdfast is dead. The Eternal Flame has gone out. There is no one left to save.'

Helena Marino was once a promising alchemist; now she is a prisoner of war and a prisoner of her own mind. All her allies and friends from the resistance have been brutally murdered, her gifts are suppressed, and the world she knew has been destroyed. There is a new ruling class in Paladia, made up of corrupt guild families and immoral necromancers whose terrible undead creatures helped them win.

According to the Resistance's records, Helena was a healer of little importance within their ranks, but she suffers from an inexplicable loss of memory of the months before her capture, which makes her enemies wonder: is she really as unimportant as she seems, or do her lost memories hide an important piece of the puzzle of the Resistance's final attack?

To find out what lies buried in her memories, Helena is sent to the High Reeve, one of the most powerful and cruel necromancers in this new world. Held captive on his estate, Helena begins her fight to protect her lost history and to unravel the secrets of her captor… secrets Helena must uncover, whatever the cost.

Alchemised is published as a hardback edition with a dust jacket, unique sprayed edges, red foil on the front cover and spine, illustrated endpapers and one illustration by Avendell.
