Dire Bound

To save her kidnapped little sister, Meryn joins the army she despises.

Dire Bound by Sable Sorensen opens The Wolves of Ruin, a romantasy about the Bonded: elite warriors who are mentally linked to enormous direwolves. Meryn Cooper comes from a poor family and never wanted anything to do with those warriors, until immortal monsters from across the border take her sister Saela. At the castle she ends up in the deadly Bonding Trials, where she is paired with a wolf that flatly refuses to talk to her. Between jealous fellow candidates, her icy instructor Stark Therion and the attention of the crown prince, survival becomes a full-time job.

For anyone who loves enemies to lovers, fated mates, morally grey characters and a slow burn that drives you mad. More than six hundred pages of English-language fantasy, in hardcover, with the atmosphere of Fourth Wing and Powerless. Ideal for long evenings when you were not planning to get to bed on time anyway.
