ACOTAR special editions with sprayed edges

The ACOTAR series in a special finish: coloured covers, sprayed edges and collector's editions. The Dutch special editions of books 1 to 5 come out on 13 October 2026, and book 6 follows on 27 October 2026. That way you can collect the whole series in one style.

What makes a special edition special?

The text is the same as in the regular edition. What's different is on the outside: a coloured cover, sprayed edges, and usually a hardcover instead of a paperback.

These are books you want to see standing on your shelf. Side by side, the sprayed edges of books 1 to 6 form one continuous design, and that's exactly why people buy them as a series rather than one by one.

When are the Dutch special editions released?

Books 1 to 5 come out on Tuesday 13 October 2026 from Van Goor. Book 6, Hof van versplinterde harmonieën, follows on 27 October 2026, the same day as the regular edition.

You can pre-order all of them from us. You pay now, and that secures your copy.

Frequently asked questions about the special editions

What are sprayed edges?

Those are the printed or coloured sides of the pages that you see when the book is closed. These editions have a design on them that matches the cover. Don't put them in the sun, or the colours will fade.

Is the text different from the regular edition?

No. Same translation, same text. The difference is in the cover, the sprayed edges and the finish.

Can I order the special editions already?

Yes, as a pre-order. You pay now, and around the release date we ship your book, or it's ready for you in the shop. Is there something else in your order? Then we'll send everything together, so you get it all in one parcel.

Do the Dutch and English special editions match on the shelf?

Not really. They're different publishers with their own design and their own format. Anyone who wants a matching row picks one language and sticks with it.

Can I take a look at them in the shop first?

Yes, they're in our shop at Van Oldenbarneveltstraat 142A in Rotterdam. With these editions that really helps, because sprayed edges in a photo and sprayed edges in real life are two different things.
