HOMER: The Iliad & the Odyssey (Deluxe Hardbound Edition)

The two epics that almost every story you know goes back to in some way, in one volume.

This deluxe hardbound edition brings together Homer's two great epics: The Iliad and The Odyssey. In the Iliad everything revolves around the war for Troy, where gods meddle in the fighting just as much as humans do and where pride and honour cost more lives than the sword. The Odyssey then follows Odysseus on his years-long journey home, past monsters, enchantments and gods who would rather see him wander a little longer. Together they form the foundation of Western literature.

For anyone who has always wanted to read the classics but was looking for an edition that also looks beautiful on the shelf: this is a bound English edition of over seven hundred pages. A lovely gift for lovers of Greek mythology, and a logical next step if you have read Madeline Miller or Pat Barker and now want to taste the source itself.
