This is the American Limited Deluxe Edition: an English hardcover with sprayed edges and sixteen original full-colour illustrations by Joe Requeza.

What is Threshing Day about?

Threshing is the day on which cadets at Basgiath come face to face with the dragons for the first time. The thirteen stories show that day through characters you already know, at the very moment their lives change course. The dragons get at least as much space as their riders.

Is this book 4 of Fourth Wing?

No. For a while the book was announced under the working title Untitled Empyrean (Not book four), precisely to avoid that misunderstanding. Read Fourth Wing, Iron Flame and Onyx Storm first.

Which edition suits you?

This American edition has its own cover design and is published in a limited print run. There is also a British special edition with silver sprayed edges and a Dutch edition, De Verkoring. All three are published on the same day and sit side by side in our Fourth Wing collection.
