Reya Connery became the Red Dagger, the most notorious thief in Rhiterra, by following strict rules: there is no honour among thieves, a sharp blade wins every negotiation and only the dead keep secrets. But just when real freedom seems within reach for the first time in her life, a heist goes completely wrong. And the crime boss to whom she still owes a fortune for her freedom is not known for his patience.

Caelan Halcyon is an immortal warrior whose magic makes him a valuable target, unless the curse slowly working its way to his heart gets him first. Legend tells of a cure that could save his life. But it lies beyond anyone's reach. Anyone, except the legendary Red Dagger.

Caelan is a man of honour and despises everything the brazen thief stands for, but she is his last chance of survival, and he is hers.

As enemies close in, her attraction to Caelan becomes harder and harder to ignore and old, buried anger threatens to rise to the surface, Reya realises she can no longer hide behind her secrets. And that the fate of all magic users lies in her hands.
