The Courting of Bristol Keats

Her father did not die, but was taken to a world that should not exist.

The Courting of Bristol Keats by Mary E. Pearson begins as Bristol and her two sisters try to make ends meet in a sleepy little town after losing both their parents. Then an aunt they never knew existed turns up, with money and with questions. It soon becomes clear that the whole family story is different from what they thought, and her father may still be alive, somewhere beyond a border no human is meant to cross. Bristol goes after him and strikes a risky bargain with the fae king Tyghan.

Fantasy romance for adult readers who love a richly built faerie world and a good dose of suspense, in the spirit of A Court of Thorns and Roses. The setup is a classic bargain plot, but Pearson takes her time with her world and with the question of who is really using whom. This English edition is a hardcover with sprayed edges and is the first part of the story.
