The North Wind

Wren offers herself to an immortal who knows no warmth, to save her little sister.

In The North Wind by Alexandria Warwick, the town of Edgewood has lain behind the Shade for three centuries, a magical wall that keeps the eternal winter out. That wall is crumbling, and according to an old prophecy there is only one way to restore it: a mortal woman must marry the North Wind. When the choice falls on her little sister, Wren offers herself in her place. She ends up in an icy realm with an immortal who would rather be rid of her, and soon discovers that his coldness hides a story.

This first book in The Four Winds series is romantasy at its most addictive: enemies to lovers, a slow burn that makes you wait until you can hardly bear it, and a winter world you can almost feel through your jumper. Warwick blends Beauty and the Beast with the myth of Hades and Persephone. If you love Sarah J. Maas, you are in the right place. English edition, with an atmosphere that goes perfectly with a cup of smoky tea.
