Choose the tin that suits your moment.

The Chai collection consists of three warming spice blends: Sevenfold Elixer with seven spices, Yasmina's Garden with rose petals and mild chai spices, and The Golden Sorceress with turmeric and vanilla.

The Anime collection has three tins, each with its Japanese name in kanji on the tin: Cherry Whisper with cherry, Golden Skyrealm with mango and passion fruit, and Kitsune's Cloud with coconut and vanilla. You can also buy the three together as the Anime 3-Pack. On top of that there are standalone tins, such as Darjeeling: The Whispering Hills and Hibiscus: The Scarlet Infusion.

Allow 3 grams per cup of around 220 millilitres, or 13 to 15 grams per litre. A heaped teaspoon comes close to that.

Brew green tea with water at 70 degrees Celsius and let it steep for 2 to 3 minutes. Black tea and chai need boiling water at 100 degrees and a longer steeping time, 5 to 10 minutes. The same applies to a herbal infusion such as hibiscus.

Two things to know before you choose.

Caffeine. Our chai and the other black teas naturally contain caffeine, as does the green Sencha. If you want a cup in the evening, choose Hibiscus: The Scarlet Infusion. That's pure hibiscus, without tea leaf and so without caffeine.

Water temperature. Green tea turns bitter with boiling water. Let the water stand for a few minutes after boiling, then you're around 70 degrees Celsius and the Sencha stays smooth.
